I grew up on a farm in Southern Virginia. I graduated from Radford University in 2006 with a Bachelors of Sociology. In 2009 I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from Radford University. My primary focus for my Masters level education was Adolescent Mental Health and Substance Abuse. I have experience working with a variety of ages, from young preschoolers through teens, and their families.

I am passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and judgment free space for my clients to express their truths and work on issues they feel are most important.   I do this through a therapeutic approach that is client centered and strengths based. My approach is influenced by theories like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Harm Reduction, and Family Systems Therapy. Providing a safe space for my clients. To provide a place of safety to express truths and solve issues that are most important to my client is paramount for me in my practice. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and employ an intersectional approach to providing therapy.
