I was raised in Central Illinois and moved to North Carolina 20 years ago. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Marketing, along with a Master of Science in College Student Personnel Administration from Illinois State University, and earned my Master of Counseling with a focus on marriage and family therapy from Messiah University. I worked with students at two universities and was a community homeschool educator for seven years. During that time, I was able to provide educational and emotional support to those around me. Since joining private practice, I have been able to provide counseling to teenagers and families through collaboration as they are trying to reduce the struggles of daily living, with varying degrees of complexity. I am eager to support teenagers (14+) and families as they are trying to navigate social pressures, life transitions, anxiety, grief, depression, and ADHD.

As a therapist, I believe in creating a strong therapeutic relationship, that is safe, open-minded, and non-judgmental. I believe every person and family is unique and deserves to find the therapeutic process that best fits their needs. I will take the time, using a systemic approach, to collaborate with each client to achieve their goals. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solutions Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) with clients.
