Clare Smith
LCSW, RPT
I am so excited to work with people using creative modalities to help them find themselves and grow. I work primarily with kids and teens using Play Therapy, Art Therapy and EMDR to give them an accessible way to communicate about and process whatever life throws their way. I have a lot of experience and training in working with trauma and helping families heal from it. I am very comfortable working with the following mental health conditions and more:
ADHD
PTSD & Dissociative Disorders
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Anxiety
Depression and other mood disorders
In addition, I am also able to help individuals understand and cope with the following issues:
Bullying
Stress Management
LGBTQ
Gender Identity & transgender health care support
Divorce- child coping
Trauma
Social Skills
Self-esteem
Anger Management
Parental skill education & support
Mindfulness, radical self-acceptance, Internal Family Systems, and EMDR have been a particular focus for me personally and professionally. I believe in creating a non- judgmental environment for clients and families to tell their stories in a way that is most comfortable for them. I am LGBTQ affirming and have worked with clients of many different backgrounds. I connect well with children, adolescents, and young adults and deeply enjoy helping families learn to communicate and treat each other with kindness.
