Lauren Busic
LCSWA
As a North Carolina native, I am proud to serve individuals and families in my local community. I earned both my Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) from Appalachian State University. My professional background is diverse, encompassing early childhood development, family systems, and work with adults facing addiction and homelessness.
My approach centers on providing holistic, individualized care for clients of all ages. I believe in building open and honest relationships that foster personal growth and resilience. My practice is rooted in the belief that self-acceptance and understanding are the foundations of integrated healing.
Areas of Focus
Children: When working with children, I focus on creating a safe and supportive environment where they can express themselves in ways that feel natural to them. Children often communicate their thoughts and feelings through play, creativity, and imagination. My goal is to help children feel understood while supporting them in developing healthy emotional skills, confidence, and problem-solving abilities.
Teens & Adults: When working with teens and adults, I use a collaborative, non-directive style, to work alongside clients as they explore their experiences, identify their strengths, and discover solutions that feel meaningful and realistic for their lives. I believe that within a non-judgmental environment with space to reflect, teens and adults can build resilience, gain insight, and make positive changes that support their overall well-being.
