Lauren Busic

LCSWA

Born and raised in North Carolina, I completed both my Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work at Appalachian State University. My professional background is diverse, encompassing early childhood development, family systems, and work with adults facing addiction and homelessness. I am dedicated to providing holistic, individual care to clients across the lifespan, from toddlers through the teen years and into adulthood.

I have a strong personal dedication to supporting women navigating fertility complications, perinatal mood disorders, and the various challenges of motherhood. Whether engaging with a child or an adult, I focus on building open, honest relationships that foster personal growth and resilience.

Therapeutic Approach

My practice is rooted in the belief that self-acceptance and understanding are the foundations of holistic healing. I am committed to providing equitable access to high-quality mental health care and actively acknowledge how intersectionalities and biases can impact the therapeutic relationship.

My clinical approach is tailored to the individual and incorporates several evidence-based modalities:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

  • Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) (for young children)
