Katie Corbin
LCMHCA
Originally from North Alabama, I graduated from Auburn University in 2020 with degrees in Psychology and Human Development & Family Studies. After graduation, I worked with university freshman programming for a year before earning my Masters of Counseling from the University of Tennessee. My internships focused on supporting college students in distress at UTK and working with families within the community.
I am currently pursuing full licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)Â and certification as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). My professional background is diverse, including roles as a school-based counselor in Hillsborough elementary schools, experience in therapeutic preschool settings, and work in group private practices supporting children, families, and couples. While at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, I specialized in suicide prevention and crisis stabilization.
Through these various experiences, I have learned to foster inclusive, welcoming spaces for individuals and families to find deeper connections with themselves and their support systems. I am dedicated to providing compassionate care to children, college students, families, and adults alike.
