Jillian Vines

LCSWA

Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, I have always felt a deep connection to the people and communities of my home state. I earned my Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2024 and my Master’s in Social Work with a certification in Clinical Social Work from the University of Kentucky in 2025. I am currently working toward licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA).

My professional journey includes extensive experience in both crisis services and counseling. I am passionate about walking alongside individuals across the lifespan—children, teens, young adults, and adults—as they navigate mental health challenges, find resilience, and build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Areas of Focus

  • Children & Teens: I use a non-directive approach that integrates play and art into sessions to help children and teens develop coping skills and strengthen emotional regulation. I also collaborate with parents throughout the process to ensure each family’s unique needs are supported.

  • Adults: I use a variety of evidence-based techniques and approaches to address life challenges and mental health concerns. I support individuals in gaining new perspectives, releasing patterns that no longer serve them, and navigating life and career transitions with greater clarity and confidence.

Clinical Expertise & Support

I am qualified to treat a variety of mental health conditions and help individuals navigate complex life challenges, including:

  • Anxiety and Adjustment Disorders

  • Depression and Mood Disorders

  • ADHD and Executive Functioning deficits

  • Suicide Assessment, Intervention, and Prevention

  • Stress Management and Self-Esteem

  • Relationship Difficulties and Women’s Issues

  • Life and Career Transitions

  • Trauma-Informed Care

  • Social Skills and Emotion Regulation

Therapeutic Approach

I strive to provide a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you can express your emotions openly. I recognize that starting therapy can feel intimidating, and my goal is to ease that transition by building a strong relationship where every client feels valued, comfortable, and respected.

My practice centers on your voice and goals, drawing from various evidence-based modalities:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Strengths-Based Therapy

  • Mindfulness

  • Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) (for younger clients)

Together, we will curate a specific treatment plan to help you feel empowered and supported throughout your journey.
