LMFTA

Life and relationships can feel overwhelming when you are carrying anxiety, past hurts, family stress, or patterns you cannot seem to change. I believe therapy works best when you can show up as yourself without worrying about saying the "right" thing. I want to understand your story, your relationships, and what matters most to you.  Sometimes the ways we learned to cope, communicate, or protect ourselves are no longer working. Together, we can understand those patterns and find a different way forward. I enjoy bringing your personality, interests, strengths, and humor into our work so therapy feels natural and personal.

I work with teens, adults, couples, and families to create a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and figure out what is keeping you stuck.  I earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina University and my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Utah State University. My training includes individual, couples, and family therapy, trauma-focused care, and EMDR.

"The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it."

— Rafiki, The Lion King

Areas of Focus

  • Teens: Being a teenager means navigating big emotions, friendships, school pressure, family expectations, and figuring out who you are. I create a judgment-free space and use teens' interests and strengths to help them build confidence, understand emotions, and communicate more openly.

  • Adults: You may keep everything together on the outside while feeling anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected underneath. Therapy gives you space to slow down, understand what you need, and change patterns that are keeping you from feeling like yourself.

  • Couples: Couples can get caught in cycles of arguing, withdrawing, or feeling misunderstood. I help couples look beneath the conflict, understand what each person is really feeling and needing, and build healthier communication and connection.

  • EMDR: Sometimes you know something is in the past, but your mind and body continue to react as though it is happening now. EMDR can help process difficult experiences so they have less power over how you feel and respond today.

  • Trauma/PTSD: Trauma can affect relationships, self-worth, trust, anxiety, and your sense of safety. We work at a pace that feels comfortable while helping you understand old survival patterns and feel more grounded and in control.

  • Infidelity / Couples: Infidelity can bring anger, grief, fear, and uncertainty about what comes next. I provide a neutral space for couples to talk honestly, begin healing, and decide what moving forward looks like for their relationship.
