Amy Vorenkamp
LCSWA
I am currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) and specialize in working with children, teens, and their families. As a parent of three, I bring both professional training and personal understanding to the work I do with families navigating difficult seasons. My background is rooted in supporting youth and caregivers through emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges, with a focus on creating meaningful, lasting change within the family system.
I believe that every individual has inherent strengths and the capacity for growth and healing. My role as a therapist is to provide a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences, build resilience, and strengthen their relationships. I am passionate about walking alongside clients as they navigate challenges, reconnect with their strengths, and move toward a greater sense of balance and well-being.
Areas of Focus
Children & Teens:Â I work with children and teens in a way that feels natural and comfortable for them, often using play, creativity, and conversation to help them express what they may not yet have words for. My goal is to help them build confidence, learn to manage big emotions, and feel more successful at home, in school, and in their relationships.
Adults:Â I support adults in navigating stress, life transitions, and relationship challenges by creating a space where they feel heard, understood, and supported. Together, we work to increase self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and create practical, meaningful change in daily life.
Family Support: I also work closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen family relationships, improve communication, and provide tools that support positive behavior and emotional connection at home.Â
